Sixty-nine hours was certainly quick, but in the event government shut down occurs again consider how you will fulfill the requirement for notification per 9CFR 116.6(b). Even if the government is not fully staffed and will not be answering the phone, firms are still required to follow all regulations and policies. Consider use of a system that documents your notification, such as using the CVB generic e-mail address or the electronic submission portal if your firm is in that system.
