Renee has worked in the veterinary biologics field since graduating from Iowa State University in microbiology. She served the Center for Veterinary Biologics (CVB) for 34 years, in the Inspection and Compliance Unit, the CVB Directorate and the NCAH Safety and Security Unit. She started as an inspector and worked up to Assistant Director, then Inspection Section Leader and finally Director for the Inspection and Compliance Unit. Her expertise includes inspections of facilities, equipment, personnel and process, management of the market release process and export certification process, and investigation of compliance issues. Renee started in a veterinary research laboratory and then joined a vaccine manufacturer prior to starting her career with CVB. This working knowledge provided a solid foundation that has grown into a unique understanding of the needs of all involved with the production, marketing and regulation of veterinary biological products.
